For over 60 years, Danny has been a dedicated part of our community. His consistent support at The Gathering Place has been invaluable, and he’s cheered on countless local hockey and volleyball teams along the way. We’re excited to launch Color Me — a brand new program designed to support creative expression and help reduce social isolation through the simple joy of coloring.

Coloring programs around the world have shown a wide range of benefits, including:

✔️ Improved fine motor skills
✔️ Enhanced focus and emotional wellness

Whether you’re new to coloring or have been filling pages for years, Color Me is a welcoming space to relax, create, and connect with others.

I’m really excited to share that Nackawic & Area Wellness is hosting our very first Garden Tour Fundraiser! 🌿🌸

What is it? It’s a chance to explore some of the most beautiful gardens right here in our community. With your $5 ticket, you’ll get a map of all the stops and be entered into a draw that we’ll hold at The Gathering Place.

🗓️ It’s happening Sunday, July 20 (with a rain date of July 27), and I can’t wait to walk through and see all the amazing work our neighbours have put into their spaces.

🎟️ Tickets are just $5 and will be available at The Gathering Place from 2–4 PM on June 19, 20, and 21 — or you can e-transfer to nackawicareawellness@gmail.com if that’s easier.

If you love gardens, community, or just want a relaxing afternoon out, come join us! It’s going to be a lovely day.

Our June volunteer of the month is Diane Ridley! Diane and her husband Trevor have resided in Hartfield for over 50 years. She volunteers within the community, her church and at The Gathering Place. She drops into The Gathering Place regularly and often brings treats, counts money, waters the plants, does whatever needs doing, and makes everyone feel at home at The Gathering Place. Thanks, Diane, for all you do!

NAW Volunteers are donating food for a big bake sale to coincide with the first of the summer sidewalk markets on Thursday, July 3 from 4 to 7!

Join us at the mall for a tasty homemade treat!

The NAW Spring Tea was a wonderful success — thank you to all the amazing volunteers and everyone who joined us for tea and delicious treats!

We loved seeing the community come together, and we’re already thinking ahead to future gatherings.
